Blake caracella retires

Blake Caracella has called it quits after finding out his injury in the game against the Brisbane thugs Lions. I guess a Hip-and-Shoulder to the head of a player on his hands and knees reaching for the ball isn’t such a good idea after all…

It is a shame as he was in good form until his injury and was played a vital part of the great start to the season that the Pies had in 2006. As he stated in the article, he got to play under three of the best coaches (Kevin Sheedy, Leigh Matthews and Mick Malthouse – some 1552 games between them ) over his career for two premierships. Good luck Blake, we’ll miss you.
